Rahul has served as the Managing Partner of ILC Qatar since its inception in May 2015. In this role, he has led numerous high-value transactions as a lead negotiator, attorney, and external counsel for a wide range of corporate clients. In his private practice, Rahul has represented both local and multinational clients in major business transactions and projects, offering strategic counsel on complex corporate and commercial matters.

His expertise spans a broad spectrum of legal areas, including international corporate transactions, banking and insurance law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and dispute resolution. He regularly advises clients on foreign investment regulations in Qatar and India, outbound investments from Qatar, the incorporation of entities, and infrastructure and power projects. Rahul also counsels on securities offerings in both primary and secondary markets, and the formation of investment funds.

Rahul has played a key advisory role for several startups, guiding them through incorporation and regulatory compliance. He is empanelled with the Qatar Development Bank and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, serving as a legal advisor to the Digital Incubation Centre (DIC). He frequently chairs sessions for DIC and the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), assisting startups in navigating the legal landscape for doing business in Qatar.

In arbitration and litigation, Rahul has represented a variety of clients—including leading insurance and holding companies—in both local and international proceedings. He has successfully defended clients in cases before the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC).

Rahul’s clientele spans multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S., U.K., GCC countries, Singapore, Sweden, India, the Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands. His clients operate across diverse sectors such as government, financial services, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, real estate, entertainment, and sports.
