Citizenship by Investment Programs (CBI)

Citizenship by investment(CBI) programs are programs that allow individuals to obtain citizenship of a country by making an investment in the country's economy. In return for the investment, the applicant is granted citizenship and a passport from the country. CBI programs generally require the applicant to make a substantial investment in the country, such as a donation to the government, purchasing real estate or other assets, or an investment in a local business or industry which is of value to the economy of the country.

Some of the countries offering Citizenship by Investment Programs (CBI):

Malta

Turkey

Montenegro

Vanuatu

Antigua and Barbuda

Grenada

St. Kitts & Nevis

Dominica

Investors and wealthy individuals are generally granted residence in most countries. However, only a few countries offer citizenship by investment(CBI) programs with a direct path to citizenship based on the investment. CBI programs have become increasingly popular in recent years, as more and more people are realizing it as a fast-track route to immigrating to a country of their choice while also investing or expanding their business. Some of the benefits of obtaining citizenship through CBI programs include visa-free travel to more countries, bringing along family, access to a wider range of business and investment opportunities, and a relatively simple and fast immigration process among others.
